6. When does this scene take place? Several views regarding the temporal orientation of this scene have been proposed by scholars. Most interpreters view this scene as a proleptic vision of the future eschatological consummation (Beckwith, 530, 539; Zahn, 377; Mounce, 171; Prigent, 123; Giesen, 196).
